Beating Burlusconi!

Beating Berlusconi! - ten years later, it's back - for one last time!

There's still a long way to go, but on May 25th, Liverpool will likely be in with a shout of being crowned Premier League Champions - twenty years to the minute since the miracle in Istanbul. To mark the anniversary and (hopefully) the end of a successful season, celebrated human chameleon Paul Duckworth will be reprising - for one last time - his extraordinary 'virtuoso', 'tour-de-force' performance as Kenny, die-hard Red (as well as thirty-five others) in Beating Berlusconi!, the hilarious LFC comedy.

Based on the true story of the scouser who managed to blag his way into the seat next to Silvio Berlusconi at the Istanbul final, the show achieved cult status fifteen years ago and has been toured Norway and been published in Italy.

Audience feedback: Paul Duckworth is amazing – I love this show. What a talent, what a show – you laugh, you cry. Fantastic. 5*

Lizzie It made me laugh, it made me cry. It’s one of the best things I’ve ever seen. D

ave Will this fantastic play be on anymore this year? I saw it at Edge Hill and was amazed. Id love to see it again.

Lyn Seen it already. Poignant, and funny as f**k! 5*

LIVERPOOL POST A great, celebratory, working class, bash the rich piece of theatre which plays firmly to a football crowd.

THE STAGE You don’t have to love football to love this play - but you do have to love Liverpool. It's not a play about football, it's a play about the heart of a city and how and why it beats.

LIVERPOOL ECHO You don’t have to be a Red to join in the glee.

THE TIMES A truly unmissable production, and one that will have you laughing, crying, and then laughing again.

THE PUBLIC REVIEWS Paul Duckworth has the most mobile and emotive face I've ever seen. More fun than the Liverbirds, Bread and Brookie combined. THE BREW BLOG
