Let Spin
Based in London and Berlin, and comprising guitarist Moss Freed (Union Division, Spike
Orchestra), saxophonist Chris Williams (Led Bib, Sarathy Korwar), bassist Ruth Goller (Skylla, Melt
Yourself Down) and drummer Finlay Panter (Beats & Pieces Big Band), Let Spin are a cutting edge
post-jazz quartet who have been making waves in the UK and European jazz scenes since their
formation in 2012.
Their collaborative way of working produces an explosive mixture of stylistic influences whilst
their focus on improvisation leads to incendiary live performances, allowing the music to venture
into territories that are unforeseen even to the musicians themselves.
To mark the band’s 10-year anniversary, the band will be touring their latest release Thick As
Thieves, continuing their longstanding relationship with label Efpi. A bold, new approach to
recording resulted in their strongest album to date, successfully capturing the band’s live sound in
the studio. The creation of Thick As Thieves has taken the band’s interplay and fusing of
composition and improvisation to a whole new level, with spectacular results.

Ceitidh Mac
Ceitidh Mac blends the warming tones of the cello and mellow vocals to create a transformative
sound that puts a progressive twist on the alt.folk genre.
Originally from Wales, now based in Newcastle, Ceitidh’s intriguing lyrics have been mesmerising
audiences in the know across the UK. Her live show is a innovative take on traditional and
alternative folk songs, sitting alongside her own original material exploring topics ranging from
illuminating everyday experiences to subjects of deeper self reflection. While the folk influence is
prominent in her songs, the smoky style and lo-fi studio sound combines with a contemporary
electronic edge, embellished by unusual instrumentation.
Ceitidh has previously opened for the likes of Lankum and Laura Misch and released her debut
album I Reach For the Pen in 2021.
“With a charismatic smoky vocal to match her instrumental prowess, the alt. cellist- songwriter’s
reputation has blossomed on the back of her captivating live shows.” - NARC
