With marches and demonstrations happening for much of 2016 and large numbers of the population talking about #BlackLivesMatter and wondering what's going to happen next.We aim to show that young people in the UK are free thinkers,entrepreneurs and creatives. Black Lives Matter is much more than just marching and protests, it's about unity. BlackOutLdn works with many different organisations making a difference in the UK, we want to showcase some of the amazing talented youth and also the grass-roots organisations making a difference.
The event will be opened by Che Scott-Heron, she will read a poem written by her father.
Hosted by Speech Debelle (Mercury Music Prize winner) and Deejay Man Like P (Radar Radio) on the decks. Performances by Boy Blue ent and special guests this event brings together the organisations and individuals that agree #BlackLivesMatter
This event is a fundraiser, unifying space and a showcase of the amazing talent captured in our fantastic youth.
