Provenance - Mozin - Liz Owen - Jon Coley

A night of live original music presented by Loft Studio 2.  This month promises to be extra special with a line up of 4 fabulous artists, culminating once more with the climactic energy of Provenance, you won't find a better way to kick off your late night out in Liverpool, (or end it with a bang if you started early!)

We are the antidote to the covers band scene that stifles creativity.  There's nothing quite like hearing new music for the first time, delivered with the passion of the artists who actually created it.  And with a total of over 40,000 spotify hits between them, this line up promises to deliver big.

Huge energy and heart, this indie rock band from Middlesbrough burst into flames when they first graced our stage in early summer.   Think Arctic Monkeys spliced with The Coral and The Foo Fighters.  

Liz Owen

Liz Owen has toured with legends Midge Ure and Joan Armatrading and has had her music featured on BBC 6 Music, BBC Introducing, BBC Radio Merseyside and BBC Radio Lancashire. Her sound is a combination of strong passionate vocals twinned with percussive, fingerstyle acoustic guitar to deliver her contemporary blues/folk sound.

Mozin

A unique alt-pop experience, deliciously huge soul-powered vocals infused with nostalgic bass and funky dancing rhythms. It's not quite like anything else, comparisons have been drawn, but we've never heard the same one twice! From Paulo Nutini to Daft Punk, Lionel Richie to Tenacious D.

Jon Coley

Jon Coley is an acclaimed folk singer songwriter. He plays an eclectic mix of Blues, soul and folk, mixed with fresh original songwriting.

He is renowned for his unique guitar playing passionate vocal performances, reminiscent of Van Morrison and Amos Lee. Jon is influenced by performers such as Nick Drake, Neil Young, James Taylor, Jackson Browne, Sam Cooke, Bert Jansch, Wizz Jones, classic blues and especially the music of John Martyn.

He has quickly become a legendary figure in his present home of Manchester, and his family's native Liverpool, where his grandfather worked to book bands for the Cavern Club alongside Bobby Wooler and owner Ray McFall.

Jon has played support spots and festivals alongside John Renbourn, Blind Boy Paxton, Michael Chapman, Ralph McTell, Jon Gomm, Wizz Jones, Dylan LeBlanc, Chance McCoy, Charlie Parr, Tré Burt, Jerry Joseph and shared a stage and many more, including Foss Patterson and Danny Thompson of John Martyn's band at venues as varied as New York's Bitter End Club, and Liverpool's Echo Arena.

After years of live touring, Jon released his Mercury nominated album "If All I Ever Wanted Was All I Ever Needed" to critical acclaim in 2021.
