Piquing the ears of folk fans for their rich acoustic soundscapes, Burr Island bare their soul crafting poignant lyricism that poses thought-provoking questions about life’s pressing matters. After recording at Kundalini Studios in Devon with Steve Cradock (Ocean Colour Scene, The Specials), their debut album 'Days Dreamt' garnered strong radio support from BBC 6 Music, BBC Radio 2, BBC Introducing and Radio X, as well as CLASH Magazine, Notion, Shindig! Magazine and The duo, comprised of best friends Tom England & Oskar Porter, take their inspiration from the works of Lennon/McCartney, Paul Simon, Crosby Stills & Nash, Nick Drake, The Beach Boys and Cat Stevens as well as Fleet Foxes, Big Thief and Flyte. Recent live shows include UK Tours supporting Ocean Colour Scene playing at some iconic venues, Hammersmith Eventim Apollo & Barrowlands Ballroom to name a couple. They also played to a sold out audience at Union Chapel, supporting Paul Weller and most recently opened for Robert Plant & Saving Grace.
