COMEDY UNLEASHED – Edgy Comedy is Back!

Having consistently sold out shows in London for the past 5 years, Comedy Unleashed brings more of its refreshing brand of stand-up comedy to The Hifi Club in Leeds.

Comedy Unleashed nights showcase comedians who have a spirit of exploration, are counter-cultural and eschew the bland and predictable. And, if a comedian gets cancelled, we like to put them on. The audience should be the only judge and if something is funny… it’s funny. Here’s a video from the London club.

Lewis Schaffer

Lewis is the darling of the satirical news show Headliners. He’s a top New York comedian who settled in the UK. He is particularly loved by women of a certain age - charming, unpredictable, spontaneously surreal and utterly maverick. Lenny Sherman

Lenny Sherman is an actor, comic, writer and lovable cockney geezer. He played the Comedy Unleashed in London and stormed it. As an actor, Lenny has most recently appeared alongside Ant & Dec in several series of Saturday Night Takeaway for ITV, and in Late Night Mash for Dave.

Jonathan Kogan

Launching himself into the world of stand-up over the last 2 years with a genuine love for and fascination with comedy, he forges his sharp material from a combination of astute observations, self-deprecating Jewish humour and unique one-liners, all with a natural anti-authoritarian slant.

Josh Howie

Josh weaves lengthy tales out of everyday life that are utterly hilarious. He’s a brilliant storyteller. Josh is also a regular alongside Lewis on Headliners.

Doors: 6:30pm until 10:00pm with the first comedian onstage at 7:30pm. Please arrive at the venue by 7:00pm so you can get a drink and get sat down before the first act. If you turn up after 7:00pm you may have to wait until the next available interval to be allowed in.

Tickets are sold for the Comedy Night as an event and not for individual comedians. Line-ups are subject to change. All acts are confirmed at time of booking. Occasionally, acts may be replaced for reasons beyond our control. If this happens the act will be replaced with a suitable alternative. We do our best to keep the listings (on our calendar page) as up to date as feasibly possible with the current situation. Fancy dress is not permitted. At the discretion of management and security of The HiFi Club, same sex groups of 5 or more may be asked for a behavioural bond of £10 per person upon entry to ensure the smooth running of the comedy show. This behavioural bond will be returned at the end of the show as long as the rules of the venue have been adhered to.
