Introductory lessons to launch Karate for Women on Thursday mornings. Beginners and experienced karateka are welcome to start training with a black belt 3rd dan instructor affiliated to the world renowned Japan Karate Association (JKA).
You'll get fitter, more flexible, improve your balance, co-ordination, and confidence.
Each lesson is tailored to the skill and experience of the class; beginning with a warm-up and stretching, we will practice basic techniques such as striking, punching, blocking an attack, and kicking (Kihon)
We will also learn 'Kata', which is a sequence of techniques simulating defence against several opponents to a set pattern.
The lesson will conclude with warm down exercises.
Suitable clothing: track suit bottoms and t shirt or karate suit if you have one.
