Music Barn 2025

MUSIC, MAGIC, MAYHEM!

The Music Barn Festival started with a group of friends putting on a party in some old barns (hence the name Music Barn!) to raise money for local charity. Charitable donation is still at the heart of our organisation, and we donate to a range of local charities via the profit from the bar sales (so give generously!)

Festival organiser Mark Robinson, whose DJ career spans over 25 years, said: “We hope to raise lots of money for these wonderful local charities, whose work in helping support so many local people has never been so vital.”

In 2021 as the world was still reeling from the international pandemic, the festival took on a new form and moved to a new site. We now hold the event in a truly unique setting – a disused iron quarry. Nature has largely taken back what she lost during excavations, leaving a natural amphitheatre. This hidden valley creates a mystical setting for intimate festival.

“Music, Magic, Mayhem”

The boutique festival features a broad spectrum of musical genres from live bands and DJs, with established acts rubbing shoulders with unsigned artists. The music entertainment includes live bands and DJs, playing across the festival’s four stages.

We support local businesses wherever possible. So, The Music Barn partners with some of the best Northamptonshire street food traders including Mexican inspired tacos and wraps, Jamaican jerk wings and curries, gourmet burgers and loaded fries.

And the festival’s bars will be serving a range of locally produced drinks too. IPAs are brewed 5 miles away in Thrapston based brewery 3 Hills; Ciders come from local cidery Saxbys, specialist gins from Warners in Harrington and rums from Market Harborough based Revival Rum distillery.

Camping will be available. Robinson said: “There aren’t many places to enjoy live music in Northamptonshire, so why not make a weekend of it and camp for the full festival experience. Bring your tribe to enjoy the vibe.”
