The first Coventry Comedy Festival will be closing with our Grand Finale at the Belgrade Theatre.

Join us as we welcome Tom Allen as our headliner!

Tom Allen is a comedian, writer and actor. He started as a stand up at the age of 22 and since then he has honed his unique style of sharp, acerbic wit and camp, riotous storytelling by performing to audiences all over the UK and around the world. He started as a stand up at the age of 22 and since then he has honed his unique style of sharp, acerbic wit and camp, riotous storytelling by performing to audiences all over the UK and around the world.

Aswell as being an incredible stand-up comedian, you’ll probably know Tom from his TV appearances with him starring in Live At The Apollo, BBC One’s Wedding Day Winners, Ready Or Not, BBC Two’s Mock The Week, Extra Slice, Strictly – It Takes Two, ITV’s Royal Variety Performance, Channel 4’s 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown, 8 Out Of 10 Cats, Comedy Central’s Roast Battle and BBC Radio 4’s Loose Ends and Just a Minute.

In the past, Tom has performed at Montreal’s Just For Laughs as well as Sydney, Adelaide and Melbourne Comedy Festivals and has supported Reggie Watts and Eugene Mirman in the US. He has just finished supporting Sarah Millican on her sold out UK and Australia tour.

He has written articles for The Scotsman, The Independent, The Lady and The Guardian and contributed material to The Now Show and Mock the Week whilst Attitude Magazine called him a gay role model.

Tom will be supported by Bedworth’s very own up and coming comedian Douglas Carter! Doug is very new to the comedy scene and it has been his dream to break into stand-up comedy. Working a day job and performing on the evenings, 2018 was a big 1st year for Doug that saw him pick up Midlands Newcomer  of the Year!

Your host and compere for the evening will be James Cook. Award-winning comedian, recently seen on tour with Gary Delaney and Paul Sinha. "a top class comic" - Birmingham Mail
