Branch To Root
Starting out in 2015 as a personal project between friends and progressing into a body of work exploring the highs and lows of modern life, Branch to Root have toured around the UK as a four piece band. Spurring on an online fan-base of dedicated listeners. The band play homage to Rock, Emo and Grunge influences which see their sound compared to the likes of Basement, Citizen, Balance And Composure, Superheaven and All Get Out and also drawing comparison from their mellower tracks to artists such as City and Colour, Death Cab For Cutie and the softer sides of Elder Brother and Manchester Orchestra.

Playing a mixture of Alternative Rock, Grunge and Emo, Branch To Root explore themes of family tragedy, dissolving relationships, self reflection, anxiety and defeat in a cathartic and often bittersweet act that is as many parts therapy as it is performance.Alongside their growing catalogue of records, other career highlights for the band have been opening for the likes of Can’t Swim, The Movielife, C.J Ramone, Petrol Girls and Awakebutstillinbed. Branch to Root also took the unique opportunity to perform live in the Harris Museum beneath renown artist Luke Jerram’s ‘Museum of the Moon’ art installation.

“This band means everything to me. It’s made me friends, taken me around the country and given me a once in a lifetime chance to express myself. Playing these songs live and seeing even one person in the crowd connect with our music is utterly priceless. Its what drives me to play every show like it could be my last”

-Stephen, Lead vocals and guitar.
