Morning Tourist live at The Lost Wanderer

Morning Tourist will make his long-awaited return to The Lost Wanderer on the 12th of November as part of his UK tour with support soon to be announced! 

Morning Tourist is London-based indie folk rock artist Sean McKinney. Since the release of his 2018 debut EP ‘Quiet Lives’, Morning Tourist has played extensively on the London circuit, toured Europe, supported Mel C, and performed at Glastonbury. In November 2024 he’ll be heading out on an extensive tour across the UK with shows in Bristol, Manchester, Newcastle, London and more. Over the past few years he’s received international attention from Amazing Radio, Pinguin Radio, Unrecorded, and many more.

Morning Tourist was signed to Blaggers Records in 2022 and just released his debut LP ‘The Endless Eve’ on the label. The LP follows up his EP ‘Quiet Lives’, and features nine tracks of folk tinged indie rock with echoes of Bright Eyes, Death Cab for Cutie, Villagers, and Elliott Smith. The songs on his debut album were recorded by producer and engineer Tom Davis, and explore the space between resignation and resolution, flirting with both, without ever completely migrating to either, searching for clarity, while inferring its futility.

Delivered solo-acoustic, or in full guitar-driven band form, the album expresses less of an emotional stagnation, and more of the exhaustion our subject feels as they struggle to draw the line through past laments and unmet expectations at the end of young adulthood. Swelling with atmospheric synth, bold percussion and soaring harmonies, the album is firmly anchored by assured production and assertive melodies.
