TEDxUniversityOfManchester

In the spirit of "ideas worth spreading," TED has created TEDx, a program of local, self-organised events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TED Talks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connections. Our TEDx event is not organised by TED Conferences, but is operated under a license from TED in the University of Manchester and is organised by Emrana Khatun and Liz Tiong Li Chen.

We have our first conference for the year coming up on the 16th April 2016, with the theme "Infinite Possibilities". The origin of this theme came about from the thought of creating a platform for ideas that challenges the norm and going beyond ordinary expectations. We were also drawn to the fact that it is of a very ambiguous nature, and that it signifies hope and highlights the possible potential that lies within each and every one of us.

Our one-day conference will be immersive and engaging, bringing a diverse roster of speakers from different disciplines, professional and educational backgrounds. We aim to bring bright individuals who are pioneers in their fields to come and inspire, share and provoke conversations that matter from a wide range of subjects. There will also be plenty of opportunities to network throughout the day and also a networking event from at 8-10pm.

PLEASE NOTE: You must bring your university ID card on day. If you purchase two University of Manchester tickets, BOTH ATTENDEES must be University of Manchester staff or students.
