After two hugely successful events at Lower Third this year, An Afternoon of Indie returns to bring you another...afternoon of indie.

Old School Indie - The indie night for the over 30s are once again joining forces with Feeling Gloomy & Age Against The Machine to bring you a special 3pm-7pm Afternoon of Indie.

Taking place at The Lower Third on Denmark Street, named in reference to David Bowie's first band and his links with Denmark Street (it was here that Bowie's first agent had his office and where Bowie & his mate Marc Bolan (of T.Rex fame) would hang out).

Feeling Gloomy & Old School Indie DJs will be playing a mix of indie classics from across the decades so whether you were an 70s punk, 80s new waver, 90s britpopper or early 00s poser they'll be something for everyone.

The party will finish at 7pm and you'll be in the middle of London so you can catch a West End show, go for dinner in Chinatown or even head down to to catch a movie Leicester Square. Or you could just go home and post all the films you took up to Insta.

With a strict door policy of no under 30s (please bring ID) there is no chance of you rubbing shoulders with anyone who can't sing the entire version of Babies or Going Underground.

What to expect: The best in indie from: Bowie, Pulp, Clash, Jam, Cure, Joy Division, Stone Roses, Smiths, New Order, Strokes, Supergrass, Kinks, Franz Ferdinand, Nirvana, Ash, Rolling Stones, Who, Primal Scream, Killers, Sultans of Ping, Buzzcocks, Ramones, Specials, Blondie, Hole, Madness, La's, Weezer, Cardigans, Housemartins, Coral, Undertones, Inspiral Carpets, Bloc Party, Beatles, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Radiohead, Suede, Echo and The Bunnymen, Pixies plus the odd bit of rock n roll, soul, northern soul and ska!

'If you have any accessibility requirements we suggest purchasing your ticket first to secure your place then getting in touch with the venue on accessibility@outernetlive.com to make the necessary arrangements. In the unlikely event we cannot accommodate you, a full refund will be provided'.
