Who we are?

“AfroSocial” is growing black creative and professional community, before all else, we are a community. Despite Manchester's black population being around 12% of the population, there are not many spaces where black professionals can meet and collaborate. We provide a platform for young black professionals in the Manchester to socialise, grow and form friendships!

We organise events in the city where professionals from various professions and backgrounds can meet. These range from social events to more formal networking events with speakers from specific sectors. We believe in building meaningful connections and aiding our community to develop personally.

What the event is about?

An opportunity for black professionals in Manchester to connect with likeminded people, be it their peers or industry leaders. The event will facilitate meaningful discussions that are relevant to black professionals and with the goal of fostering a sense of community and support to those who attend.

Through a selected panel consisting of different members of the black professional community, we will discuss the importance of networking and how it has a positive impact on their career. We will then open the floor, giving the attendees an opportunity to ask questions and learn from the panel.

Consisting of black professionals currently working in Manchester, who will share their experience and challenges being a black professional in the corporate world.

8.00pm - Free flow networking and mingling on the roof top (weather permitting)
