Hello and thank you for purchasing a ticket to join us at Tokyo Tea Rooms. By purchasing this ticket/s, you are deemed to have read and understood the following:

1. ID
To join us at Tokyo Tea Rooms, you must be over the age of eighteen and must have valid age identification, that looks like you. EVERYONE, regardless of age, will need ID to gain admission to the premises.

2. DRESS CODE
We have a relaxed dress code but please be reasonable – tracksuit bottoms/joggers are not suitable attire for any late night licensed venue. Trainers, shorts and hats are okay.

3. INTOXICATION & DRUGS
Assessments and decisions on drunkenness are made by the Security – not by the friends of the person being assessed!
Tokyo Tea Rooms takes a zero-tolerance approach to intoxication and the consumption of illegal substances. You will be refused admission if you are too drunk or suspected to be under the influence of illegal substances. You will more than likely be searched upon admission and we are routinely visited by a drug detection dog. Declining search will mean admission is declined.

4. INAPPROPRIATE ATTITUDE
Our aim is for everyone that comes to Tokyo Tea Rooms to have a great time in a relaxed and enjoyable environment, so we take a zero-tolerance approach to aggression/violence/inappropriate attitudes. Racism, sexism, homophobia, transgenderism will result in automatic refusal.

5. ACTS & SET-TIMES
Acts, set-times and content are all subject to change.

6. TICKET ENTRY TIMES
You must be inside the venue by the time stated on the ticket. If you arrive after the time stated on the ticket, it will no longer be valid and you will have to queue and pay the full entry price to gain admission.

7. REFUNDS
All tickets are non-refundable and non-exchangeable, whatever the reason for the request to change.

8. MANAGEMENT RESERVES THE RIGHT TO REFUSE ADMISSION

‘TOKYO TEA ROOMS’

Tokyo Tea Rooms, a boutique late night cocktail bar experience, is launching in Canterbury at 8pm on Saturday 18th August, with an exclusive opening ceremony, including guest mixologists and creative performance.

Formerly ‘Steinbeck and Shaw’, the venue has been primarily occupied by national chains. Now local hospitality and entertainment outfit, ‘Distinctive Bars’, have acquired the space, transforming it into a bespoke and premium addition to Canterbury’s nightlife scene.

Introducing Tokyo Tea Rooms…

Tokyo Tea Rooms will live and serve by the Japanese Ichi-go Ichi-e which loosely translates to One Time One Meeting – no two events or encounters will ever be exactly the same. This concept is embodied in traditional Japanese tea ceremonies.

By embracing this approach, Tokyo Tea Rooms will take guests on a new and stimulating journey every time they visit, via unique design, evolving cocktail menus and exciting immersive live performances.

With a fresh and elegant aesthetic infused with some brand new surprises, Tokyo Tea Rooms will provide a unique ‘first time’ experience, every time.
