Mannequin Death Squad are a instrument swapping duo, girl and boy indie rock band from Melbourne, Australia. The two have toured extensively across Australia and the UK since their inception in 2016. The two have shared the stage with many including: Frenzal Rhomb, British India, Slaves (UK) Amyl and the Sniffers and WAAX to name a few.
The power duo have recently returned from their third UK tour, after being invited to play the historic Rebellion Festival in Blackpool. With 15 dates around the UK to complement the festival appearance, the band’s latest single ‘Super Mental Psycho’ was featured as new rock track of the week on ‘Planet Rock’ (UK), as well being spun on ‘Kerang!’(UK), ‘Soho Radio Culture’ (UK) and others.
Off the back of their UK run, the band completed their Australian tour which consisted of 17 dates across the country. In promotion of their long-awaited debut album release ‘Super Mental Psycho’.The duo has left a trail of enthusiastic and passionate fans in their wake. Mixing catchy pop melodies with ferocious punk rock riffs, ‘Super Mental Psycho’ was co-produced with legendary Australian producer Mark Opitz (ACDC, INXS, The Angels, Divinyls).
Mannequin Death Squad are gearing up for a momentous 2023; set to tour UK in July alongside Rebellion Festival, with plans to release their second album later this year.
