We’ve always put the brewery at the heart of our business so we’re incredibly proud to be able to invite a select group of our friends to join us on a tour of the Greengate Brewery site in Middleton, Manchester.
Founded in 1828 by retired cotton manufacturer John Lees, we’re a family brewery company with the sixth and seventh-generation working within the business, producing our lagers, cask ales, seasonal beers and the Boilerhouse small batch beers.
On the tour you’ll experience a mixture of various sights, sounds and sensations tasting our beer and have a look around our Brewhouse. When you experience this, you’ll get to understand why we’re so proud of our fantastic beer and great heritage.
You will get to see how JW Lees’ famous ales are brewed followed by a traditional Lancashire potato pie supper and a free bar to sample our beers!

Coach departs the brewery for the return journey at 9.00pm
Sensible shoes are strong recommended, as it’s a very old building and only those over the age of 18 are permitted. We advise organising a lift or walking home when we return to the pub!
