Mad Jack's Comedy Club - September Edition

Mad Jack's is back!

After the roaring success of our first 4 sold out shows - Jack is Back from his summer break with another stellar line-up to make your sides ache!

Your MC to get you warmed up for the evening is Hayley Ellis. She will be introducing double headliners Ray Bradshaw and Andy Askins.

Andy Askins is a diminutive figure who exudes an air of vulnerability and an innocent child-like quality as he steps up to the microphone armed with a guitar and a cheeky grin. Andy has an expertly crafted routine littered with an eclectic mix of offbeat comic songs and parodies. His subject matter is wide ranging; from his many bizarre relationships: "Some of them with humans" to an unfortunate mix-up over a colostomy bag with a Columbian drug baron in Miami docks. He was invited to appear in several support slots for the mighty Lee Evans and has performed at Altitude Comedy Festival in Austria alongside Sean Lock and Bill Bailey.

Following his groundbreaking 2018 show, Deaf Comedy Fam, Ray Bradshaw’s new stand-up show, Deaf Com 1, covers his recent fatherhood, teaching his young son sign language and a disastrous trip to Bahrain. International award-winning comic, Ray, spent 2021/22 touring the UK as John Bishop’s handpicked support act, having previously toured with Frankie Boyle in 2019. Ray was the first comedian to ever win a Scottish Culture Award and is a regular host of Scotland’s most popular radio show, Breaking The News.

Hayley is a former regular sight gag contributor for the Russell Howard's Good News television programme. (Avalon Television) and has also written for 8 out of 10 Cats. She has appeared on MTV’s “Why aye love Geordie Shore” and “Comedy Set Lists” for Virgin television. She can also sometimes be heard on your wireless. (Absolute Radio) and her sketches and jokes have appeared on Newsjack (Radio 4).
