This is a double bill with two fabulous bands both playing a full set of about an hour.
Steamtown are a duo from Yorkshire. They play original songs with traditional instruments like guitar, banjo, harmonica and accordion. Actually, are they traditional instruments? Anyway, they don’t like being pigeonholed as “folk”, they have such an original freshness to their music and they are clever, inventive, energetic and fun.
Our friend, Marie Marx, recommended them to us a few years ago and we are delighted to finally welcome them to Toft House.
Paul Handyside played a set for us back in March 2024 in support of Benjamin Amos. He was brilliant. We have been looking for the right opportunity to bring him back.
Two amazing acts on one night!
