Desi Live - the ultimate live music experience FINALLY ARRIVES IN THE MIDLANDS!

Following on from our VIRAL Sold Out show celebrating 80’s and 90’s Punjabi + Bhangra icons in London : we bring the BIG SHOW to Birmingham for the first ever time DUE TO PHENOMENAL DEMAND!

Desi Live have selected some of the most recognisable names of that era to present you with another unforgettable night of nostalgia and all will be accompanied with a FULL LIVE BAND!

The Venue : FORUM BIRMINGHAM is an independent 3,500 capacity entertainment space sitting in the heart of Birmingham city centre. Forum Birmingham opened its doors during the Covid-19 pandemic as the latest incarnation of a purpose built music venue born in the 1960’s. It previously dominated the city’s music scene as Top Rank Suite, the Hummingbird, the Carling and O2 Academy. + we are delighted to be able to host this next instalment of Desi Live at this historic venue!

The King of Bhangra, Malkit Singh MBE is THE Gold Standard (& The Golden Star) by which all Panjabi Artists are measured to. Held in the same regard as only Gurdasmaan & Kuldip Manak, his indelible influence on generations of musicians is not up for debate - its clear. His countless anthems, worldwide fan base & iconic voice have grown and crossed decades & has provided the soundtrack to every Panjabis childhood or family celebration.

After his blockbuster headline performance at our debut show in 2019, we are delighted to welcome back the one & only GOLDEN STAR!

The Godfather of Bhangra finally joins DESI LIVE officially, for the very first time! CHANNI SINGH OBE was the founding member of legendary group ALAAP, formed in 1977 & recognised as the true breakout pioneering band of UK Bhangra music. Their achievements have been globally recognised and awarded & we are delighted to finally welcome to legend on stage at our debut show in BIRMINGHAM!
