The Phono 80's special Sunday May 4th 2025

In 1979 an unassuuming little space in the bowels of the Merrion Centre became Le Phponographique. Frequented by Members of bands like The Sisters of Mercy. The mission and soft cell as well as countless members of othe influential alternative bands. It soon became a haven for for people who were seen as weirdos or misfits. It was a place where they could feel safe.

It is well documented that on May the 4th 1985 ( 40 years ago to the day ), THE CLASH played a gig there. even back in the mid 80s Le Phonographique was a place to be seen
