Vworp at the Briton's Protection! Manchester's big DOCTOR WHO 61st Anniversary Birthday Party

After we had *so much fun last year for our big  60th Doctor Who anniversary party, we thought we may as well return for another party for THE BIG DOCTOR WHO 61st ANNIVERSARY on Saturday, November 23rd!

Once more, we'll be back at our spiritual home, Manchester City Centre's one and only BRITON'S PROTECTION pub for more fun and frolics than you can throw a Perigosto Stick at!

++ A 31st anniversary screening of DIMENSIONS IN TIME, complete with 3D glasses for all! Yes, we're actually going to try this. Will you Vote Big Ron or Vote Mandy? Your chance to see justice served, Edmunds be damned!

 ++ Curated VIDEO RARITIES and oddities from the inkiest depths of our very own Vworp private video vaults!

++ A brand new DOCTOR WHO QUIZ with special prizes from Cutaway Comics' own IAN WINTERTON, including rounds read out by our in-person special guest quiz masters DWM founding editor (and all round British comics legend) DEZ SKINN and Big Finish's War Doctor himself, JONATHON CARLEY! 

++ Blue Peter style BRING AND BUY SALE for all those DOCTOR WHO treasures you've tired of.

VWORP! is a friendly, inclusive Doctor Who fan group that has been meeting informally in one of the Snugs of the BRITON'S PROTECTION and irreverent for the past ten years on the last Saturday of the Month, and before that at our much missed LASS O'GOWRIE, lost now to us in a pocket universe... 

All are welcome, we have a lot of fun throughout the year. As with many of Manchester's heritage pubs, we regret that upstairs at the Briton's Protection is not accessible. However, we will be happy to help with any access requests we receive. And we do also use HOME for additional meetings throughout the year, which are fully accessible to all.
