FLOOR SIXX is a new music platform (supported by Deezer) brought to you by Sian Anderson - 26 year-old media powerhouse, grime ambassador and arbiter of British underground music and Jason Black - J2K the artist and co-founder of Crep Protect – the ultimate shoe care company.
FLOOR SIXX aims to celebrate the best underground music across a range of genres by releasing exclusive singles on the FLOOR SIXX hubs, bridging the gap between underground platforms and the mainstream. Grime will be the focus point for 2017, with an exclusive new track — each accompanied by its own music video —dropping on the platform each month across media channels including Deezer, VEVO, iTunes and Spotify.
The proceeds of each track will go into the FLOOR SIXX MUSIC ACADEMY (a mentoring programme in association with Red Bull Music) that will see ten workshops; panels and seminars take place throughout August 2017, providing artists and the next generation of music moguls with the knowledge required to take their careers to the next level. Over time, FLOOR SIXX will come to serve as an authentic, trusted source for those looking to explore underground music in its entirety and a recruitment agency for employers in the media industry who are looking for keen, knowledgeable and educated young people to nurture into the next generation of music executives.
With releases from the likes of Jammz, Capo Lee and Drifter already underway and a host of surprises in-store over the next few months, stay locked for new updates on FLOOR SIXX with campaigns from a number of well known artists including Big Narstie, P Money, Killa P and Scorcher and veteran producers Mike Skinner, Toddla T, Sir Spyro and Davinche. All tracks will feature on the compilation FLOOR SIXX VOLUME 1, set for release this 2017.
