Girls Get Spooky: A Murder Mystery Night 🎃

This Halloween is for the girls, and you're invited...

On Sunday 20th October, Girls Get Social will be celebrating the Spooky Season in style with a Murder Mystery Night! We'll be heading to the heart of Birmingham for a Monster Ball Bash - a massive all-girl spooktacular! Our girls will get the chance to uncover a mystery as a collective whilst making friends for life in the process.

The story...

As the Blood Moon rises high over Blackwood Manor it marks the night of the annual Blood Moon Monster Party, a secret celebration where the most fearsome creatures of the night come together in a rare moment of unity. Vampires, werewolves, witches, demons, and creatures from the darkest corners of the world attend this exclusive event, bound by an ancient pact to leave their rivalries and grudges at the door—for one night only. That is—until everything goes horribly wrong. A human that stumbled into the party was murdered and their body was found lying cold and lifeless on the floor. What about the pact? Will this start a new war? No one knows.

In a night where everyone is a predator, one thing is certain: someone—or something—among them is the killer. Will the monsters set aside their differences long enough to solve the mystery, or will the killer strike again before the night is over?

What will happen at the event?

• Before the event, The GGS team will create a WhatsApp group for the attendees so you can put faces to who's attending, arrange meetup points & just say hi before the big day! Attendees will be added to the WhatsApp within 2 days of purchasing a ticket. Please include your mobile number when you buy a ticket to ensure that you will be added.

• 3 pm - Doors open. When your ticket is scanned at the door, the GGS team will be there to greet you! We will also treat you with one FREE drinks token to start the evening on a high.
• 3:30 pm - the story begins! 
• A spooky selection of nibbles will be available for you throughout the night, alongside a bar serving alcoholic & non-alcoholic refreshments
  
• Take part in various games throughout the evening to break the ice and help uncover clues!
• Expect TWO rooms of spooktacular fun, including the social room (with a photobooth!), and the room where all the real mysteries happen...
• Throughout this scarily amazing day, feel free to mix, mingle and make some friends!
• 8 pm - The party's over, time to part ways! Head home safely or feel free to take the party elsewhere and carry on the fun with the friends that you have made 😊

Ticket Information

• Tickets are non-refundable. However, if your plans change and you can't make it, let us know at girlsgetsocial@gmail.com and we can organise a potential exchange after the tickets are closed. Please note: exchanges can only occur if requested up to 2 days before the event and unfortunately can't be 100% guaranteed, but we will be trying our very best to get it done!

• Tickets are £25 and will be on sale until Sunday 13th October 2024. Please note that this date may be extended or cut off earlier. If this occurs, it will be announced on our social media platforms.

Girls Get Social is proud to be a not-for-profit organisation, meaning 100% of the profit from every ticket sold goes back into the running of our events, making the best experiences for our girls!

Travel

Please note: for your safety, the location address & details will be kept private and revealed upon purchase.

For solo-goers, nervous attendees or girls who want someone to walk with, we will set up a couple of meet-up points! We will let you know a few days before the event the exact details on where to meet up & who will be meeting you (with pictures so you can put a face to a name!)

Tram - Corporation Street tram stop is right outside of our location

Car - Our nearby Car Parks to the venue are NCP Birmingham High Street & Birmingham New Street Station Car Park

Bus - Our nearest bus stops to our location are on High Street, Moor Street Queensway & Carrs Lane (approx. 2-5 minute walk)

Train - Birmingham New Street station is a very quick 4-minute walk from our location

Dress code

Our Murder Mystery Night is an immersive event. With this in mind, sticking with the theme and story within your costume is a MUST!

Here are some suggestions: Vampire, Frankenstein, Witch, Ghost, Fallen Angel, Devil, Grim Reaper, Goblin, Scary Doll, Elf, Alien, Skeleton, Bigfoot, Mummy. (if you have an idea that isn't on this list, please contact us! We can brainstorm together)

Struggling with your costume? No worries, just come in all black - props and accessories will be provided!

Friendly reminders

• All Girls Get Social events are open to 18+ only, please ensure you bring ID for proof of age at entry and at the bar.
• Please note that there will be some photography at the event. This will be taken on the GGS team's phones and will potentially be used for social media & marketing purposes. Please state when purchasing your ticket - by selecting "I DO NOT give consent" - if you'd prefer for your picture not to be taken!
• We request that this social event be full of positive vibes and that guests refrain from acting negatively towards others. If there are grievances that need addressing or arguments to be had we require them to be discussed outside the event. If any conflict does arise at our event (which is very unlikely) we will kindly ask you to leave and tickets cannot be refunded.
