We are coming together on Saturday, 14th of September to see the creative collaboration between music band Murmurations, artist Lucy Marsden and poet Cee Comini.
Synesthesia is all about mixing different sense impressions... And we have taken this to another level this time!
To create the most exciting sensory experience, we are presenting 3 live music sets, which will have 3 multilingual poems embedded in them, 3 live sculpture responses in clay, and 3 wine pairings from the countries the poetry has been written in (England, Italy and Germany).
The evening will be divided in 3 sets (as you probably already suspected...) of 20 minutes each, with breaks in between and plenty of time afterwards to hang out :)
Siiiii! For people buying regular tickets, the 3 wine pairings to go with each music set, sculpture & poem are included in the price. As well as a glass of bubbly on arrival :)
Yes! Small (125ml), medium (175ml) and large (250ml
They do! Hot drinks, soft drinks, non-alcoholic beer...
Murmurations are a folk inspired musical flock, from Norwich, UK. Formed of four female musicians, the group combines Irish Bouzouki, mandolin, cello, flute and harmonium to create what has been referred to as ‘music for the moors’. With intimate storytelling, sweet harmonies and powerful instrumentation, Murmurations come together to share something bigger than the sum of their parts.
Lucy Marsden is a multidisciplinary artist from Great Yarmouth, living in Norwich. She has a background as a fabricator specially metal work and casting within the art industry.
Cee Comini is a poet-translator from Hamburg, raised by an Italian mother and lots and lots of books; now home in Norwich. Often centering their queer identity, their work is multilingual and playful with language, seeking to expand the definition of translation.
