The Godfather of Bhangra CHANNI SINGH OBE was the founding member of legendary group ALAAP, formed in 1977 & were the true breakout pioneering band of UK Bhangra music. Their achievements have been globally recognised and awarded & we are delighted to welcome the legend on stage at our debut show in LEEDS!

DCS were the predecessors to the likes of B21, and their popularity boomed due to their immense live performances which sounded so close to the recorded versions! Front man of legendary band ‘PARDESI MUSIC MACHINE’, Silinder Pardesi is one of the most respected vocalists to come out the UK Bhangra scene. Hailing from the midlands, his band became one of the most popular bands in the 80’s and 90’s after their HUGE album ‘Pump Up The Bhangra’ before going on to carve his own solo success! We’re delighted to welcome him to Desi Live for the very first time!
