Originally formed in Brighton, Comforts are set for their biggest year. With over five single releases to be announced, music videos, and UK show dates, the band have been making a name for themselves. Mantarray bring a contagious energy to the Birmingham alternative rock scene, turning heads and giving crowds nights to remember. The band formed in 2018, growing up together in their home town of Stourport-On-Severn and caught the attention of the Birmingham music scene back in 2019. After a rename in 2020, Mantarray set out to share their captivating sound, combining exciting distorted guitar riffs and punchy bass lines with explosive drumming to keep the adrenaline pumping. After numerous sold out shows in BIrmingham, the band released their debut single ‘Fairytale Lovestory’ on all streaming platforms, alongside a music video available to watch on YouTube.

Since 2021 audiences across Brighton and London have been watching and listening attentively at shows with a mixture of artists such as Naima Bock, Tyler Cryde, Ora Cogan, Junior Brother, UGLY (UK), Flip Top Head, SkyDaddy, Hutch, Ladylike, Nina Winder-Lind (The New Eves), Caitlin Rose and many more.The songs combine influences from 90’s alternative music with spiritual, reflective and simple songwriting for fans of Elliott Smith, Alex G, Adrianne Lenker. Since the release of Maximilian’s locally long awaited and anticipated debut album ‘Surrender’, DIY self produced over three years, Maximilian has been spending days reading, writing, drawing, growing fresh herbs and plants in his room.
