2024 marks the 20th ANNIVERSARY of SISTER 9 RECORDINGS and to celebrate, we’re putting on this special Anniversary Bash at the Hallamshire Hotel in Sheffield on Friday, November 22nd!

Headlining the night are Cheshire’s answer to musical boredom, DEJA VEGA, who’s debut LP sold out twice on the label back in 2019! They’ve since exploded on the live scene, with their gritty, guitar led psychedelia, rhythmic rage-fuelled riffs, and Jack Fearon's hypnotic slurring lyrics lurch in and out of poetic chants, all the while battling over chaotic drums and the razor-sharp bass lines. Live, Déjà Vega demonstrate that they truly are a force to be reckoned with...

Also on the bill are Rhys Bloodjoy's first band (and label-founders) DOLIUM — with the original line-up reforming after two decades, especially for the launch of their brand new box set, The Products Of Our Own Demands And Commands, which is out the same day! In their early days, Dolium caused quite a buzz on the UK underground music scene; first in 1999/2000 with their sonic assault on Sheffield, and then some years later, when their debut single quickly caught the attention of BBC radio legend, John Peel. It’s been a while, but the band are back with a vengeance yet to be experienced live…

Before that, Manchester filthy-blues garage rockers, Bones Shake, will hit the stage with their violent bottle-neck blues riffs, kicked, pounded and exploited drums, and squeals of reverb drenched vocals—which when combined, will help save your soul! Their new album, “Purge”, contains more of their relentless energy, and live, the band never take their foot off the gas—don’t miss it!

Local Sheffield post-punk band, TAUT ANGLES, have also been invited to open the proceedings. This four piece multi-instrumental band create loud, improvised and repetitive tracks alongside blasts of melody, noise and slow contorted warped instrumentals and vocal sounds. What better way to get the party started?!

To end the night, Ms De Vine & Jamie Headcharge will perform a live/DJ set featuring dark-electro/edm remixes of Dolium tracks by Rhys Bloodjoy/Ms De Vine + Throbbin Hood!
