Aziz Ibrahim #Lordofthestrings is best known as a guitarist with The Stone Roses/Ian Brown, co-writing songs such as "My Star" and "Corpses in Their Mouths"
Aziz has also played with Simply Red, Paul Weller, Steven Wilson, Asia and Marillion's Steve Hogarth, Jah Wobble, Rebel MC, Errol Brown (Hot Chocolate), and reggae superstars Dennis Brown, Barrington Levi & Freddy McGregor.
Deco records has a special ongoing relationship with Aziz in his solo and collaborative projects and we believe in him as multi-talented musician who exceeds the sum of his historical parts, as well as just being a fantastic human being.
Aziz is a Mancunian through and through, but also holds on strongly to his roots and his parents' origins in Lahore,
seen in the South Asian symphony he composed for the Manchester Camerata Orchestra which resulted in sell out shows at HOME’s Number One Theatre.
Aziz will be supported by the beautiful Aminah (aka 786AM) who we happened upon at an open mic in February, and whose natural talent at guitar and angelic vocals are well worth getting down early for.
