Our October guest at the Horse & Groom is (another) bone fide legend, the First Lady of Balearic, the High Priestess of Acid House, one of the true innovators and one of the best DJs you will ever here, may we present the one and only Nancy Noise.The Acid House story is often started when four London DJs went to Ibiza in 87, discovered the Balearic Beat and brought it back to London starting Shoom, Future, Spectrum, The Trip, etc. Well, Nancy was there BEFORE all this. She was rocking the night away at Amnesia in 86. Always ahead of the curve she has remained at the cutting edge of the Balearic world ever since. Original DJ at Future with Paul Oakenfold and then Terry Farley. One half of Loud Noise with her compadre Lisa. She IS more Balearic than you.Impeccable credentials she has but importantly she continues to push forward playing a wonderful mix of music from a huge variety of styles. And she’s no slouch in the studio, making wonderful pieces of music like the beautiful Kaia - one of the mainstays of any chilled Balearic set over the last five years.On top of the this she is so lovely, kind and humble. We can’t wait to dance and DJ with her once again. All praise!
