Fast-rising Indie-pop/Art-Rockers, Cat Ryan, play their biggest hometown headline show yet at Cluny 2, Newcastle on Saturday 28 September! Support comes from three incredible artists: Low Girl, Georgina Gale, and Melanie Baker, making this an utterly unmissable show.
Hailing from Newcastle Upon Tyne, Cat Ryan showcase an exhilarating brand of Indie-Pop/Art-Rock in their atmospheric live shows. Their distinct sound, with angular melodies and infectious rhythms, echoes the likes of Vampire Weekend, Bombay Bicycle Club, and Declan McKenna.
Led by singer, multi-instrumentalist and songwriter, Mary-Anne Murphy, the indie quartet have solidified their position at the forefront of the emerging music scene, supporting the likes of Sundara Karma, Loupe, and Sprints, as well as gracing prominent festival stages including Truck and Y NOT Festival.
The band's growing discography has seen them surpass 1 million streams on Spotify alone with 'Mannerism' singularly exceeding 670,000+ plays and 'Rex Mundi' closing in on 250k. Following the success of their debut EP, ‘King Of The World’ at the end of 2023, the band continue to go to from strength-to-strength, paving the way for an album release, hinted for 2025.
