Zimmerman / Lienhard w/ Pinnel & Ortolan Bunting

Zimmermann / Lienhard have been active since 2018 exploring the similarities and differences of acoustic accordion and electronic oscillator sounds, playing with psycho-acoustic effects and blending in ways that leave audiences repeatedly astonished. The two artists propose their own take on the blooming genre of ambient and drone music. They refuse the static and dull and instead build ever-evolving sonic landscapes while navigating noisier waters. It is music to dive into, to listen deeply.

Through the many years of playing together an impressive delicacy and intimacy of their improvised interplay has emerged. All of this can be witnessed in their live performances, as well as on their two releases „kaputt“ and „organ“ (both Wide Ear Records, 2021 & 2024, respectively). In the last years they have toured extensively in Switzerland, Austria, Germany, Slovenia, Croatia and France and played festivals like Météo Mulhouse, Archipel in Geneva, Jazzwerkstatt in Bern and Red Dawns in Ljubljana.
