WINTER WILSON + Avril McCall

After receiving rave reviews for their first eight studio albums, Winter Wilson went on tour with Fairport Convention and performed at Cropredy Festival. Since then, they have released four more albums, including a live album recorded on the road with Fairport.

It is in live performance where these two really excel. Kip Winter and Dave Wilson bring a sense of intimacy to every venue, blending superb, often hard-hitting original songs, stunning harmonies and musicianship with sometimes hilarious humour and tales of life on the road. Avril MCall has the purest of unaccompanied voices and a genuine passion for every song she sings. She is a versatile singer who has performed over the years in folk clubs throughout Yorkshire and the North East. Her repertoire is an eclectic mix of folk, blues and contemporary songs. She is also a crucial part of the Toft House Team and her warmth and humour shine on every occasion. We love her singing too!
