Book Club: Yaa Gyasi’s Homegoing

Our book for February is Yaa Gyasi’s Homegoing. It’s 300 pages long and charts the story of two sisters - one sold into slavery, the other a slave trader’s wife. It spans seven generations and three continents - taking us from the Gold Coast in Ghana to the cotton-picking plantations of Mississippi. It’s educational and emotional in one fail swoop.
