International@CampusLife welcomes you to join us on our Trip to 3 Carmarthen Castles.
Date: Saturday 11th April 2020
Time: Departing Bay Campus (Archway – bus stops) at 9:00am with a pick up at Fulton House at 9:20am. Our first stop will be at Llansteffan Castle, followed by Dinefwr Castle and Carreg Cennen Castle. We will spend approximately 1.5 hours at each destination departing the last stop at 4.30pm. The driver will confirm the departure meeting points on the day.
Description:
We will be travelling north into the wilds of Wales to visit 3 historic castles: Llansteffan, Dinefwr and Carreg Cennen. Each one different and beautiful in its own special way! As well as the castles, there are stunning landscapes to explore and panoramic views to enjoy. Entry is free to Lalnsteffan and Dinefwr is free but there is a discounted charge of £3.50 (payable at the Castle, must show a valid NUS card) to enter Carreg Cennen. The price without an NUS card is £5.50.

There will not be anywhere to buy lunch during the duration of this trip so please ensure to bring your own food and drinks that will last the duration of the day. Light refreshments are available to purchase at Carreg Cennen.
Refund policy: refunds for tickets cannot be given after the date of the trip if you fail to attend for any reason. If you require a refund, you must email international.campuslife@swansea.ac.uk before 5pm on Wednesday 8th April or the refund may not be issued. Any refunds will not include the booking charge, this will be lost - apologies for any inconvenience caused.
Data Protection: International@CampusLife will use the information you provide to us for attendance and safety purposes. We will use your data to produce internal statistics but will not share it with third parties or use it for marketing purposes. Your information will be provided to our trip leader on the day of the trip for the purpose of attendance monitoring and emergency situations where they may need to contact you. The information will be kept confidential and passed back to ICL and destroyed on return from the trip. Fatsoma’s policies can be found on their website.
Photos: We will be taking photos throughout the event which we will use to promote future activities in the form of leaflets, social media posts, digital screens and on our website. If you would not like to be included, then please tell the trip leader on the day of the event. If you see yourself in any pictures and would like to be removed, please email us at international.campuslife@swansea.ac.uk and we will make sure that any photos of you are deleted.
Children: This trip is not suitable for children due to the amount of walking. The paths up to some of the castles are not suitable for pushchairs and the ground can be quite steep and uneven.
Accessibility: Please let us know if you require disabled access transport. We cannot guarantee that we can provide this, but we will make every effort to accommodate you by liaising with the coach provider. Please note that there will be a lot of walking over uneven terrain and up steep hills during this trip. Conduct: You are responsible for your own behaviour and time keeping. Please take reasonable care of your own and other people's health and safety.
