April 2nd | 8:30am - 10:30am
We are fortunate to have one of the best beaches in the UK on our doorstep. But as the summer weather sets in and the beach becomes increasingly popular with visitors, litter becomes a real problem.
Surfers Against Sewage & Tynemouth Surf cafe welcome members of the public to join us on Sunday April 2nd to help protect and conserve our coastline by helping to remove rubbish from Longsands Beach and the surrounding areas.
This year we’ve teamed up with Surfers Against Sewage who have kindly loaned us some reusable sacks, gloves and litter pickers for the event.
BrewDog have also provided some planet friendly goodies to reward all participants.
Meet us at the surf cafe beer garden at 8:30am before we head down to begin the day. You can head back at any time but we suggest we aim to meet back at the surf cafe beer garden at 10:30am where everyone can choose a free BrewDog beverage or a soft.hot drink.
We will also have some special volunteer discounted brekkie options available for anyone who needs to refuel after their efforts.
