Incompetent Shakespeare

In a dusty room, in a dusty town hall, in the picturesque industrial garden town of Scunthorpe, lies the S.H.I.T Company - an amateur dramatic group designed for people who want to give it a go.

Follow the group through their auditions, rehearsals and opening night as they try to perform the classic tragedy Romeo and Juliet. Will it be a Shakespearian masterpiece, or will their performance be a chaotic two hours of traffic on our stage?

Starring Dominic Lane, Olivia Schofield, Harvey Beauchamp, Janna Cooper, Ellie Coonan

Admission: Pay What You Can

Pay What You Can is an ‘honesty box’ for the theatre. We and the artists will continue to programme and produce high quality events and ask you to pay what you can afford.

As a guide, for those in full time employment we would appreciate you donating between £5 and £10. We also understand people's income can be precarious, hence the lower price options. All revenue from ticket sales for events at New Adelphi Theatre will always go back to support professional artists, through residencies, commissions, touring work or for more bespoke projects where the student experience is enhanced through co-creation with arts professionals. We thank you for all your continued support.

Please note all bookings and donations come with a 50p booking fee.

For students on Performance course, please check Blackboard for information about ticket discounts.

Please note: reserving a Wheelchair Seat ticket will also reserve a free seat for an essential companion.

If you require limited mobility access (step-free), please let a member of staff know upon arrival.

Accessibility is extremely important to us at the New Adelphi Theatre. If you have any accessibility requirements, please email Hannah at the box office at h.c.briggs@salford.ac.uk.
