On Sunday 12th November, 12 - 6pm, The New Cross hosts an independent record store day curated by GigPig with the finest local selectors in tow. You can shop the selections of Rubber Ducky Records, Round Sound, Haunted Dancehall and Dub Merchants, all under the roof of the converted garage.
FREE BEER… Free beer did you say? That’s right, customers who spend over £25 on records will receive a free beer courtesy of Manchester Union Brewery.
Record Traders:
Rubber Ducky records is a floating record shop specialising in electronic music. Captained by Myles Greenwood, the duck is currently in Manchester on a tour of the Canals of England. Watch their journey and Skiddle Spotlight here.
Haunted Dancehall, nestled within a 19th century industrial haven along the Ashton Canal, named after the 1994 masterpiece album by Sabres of Paradise, unveiled it’;s doors in 2022 at Wellington House. Once inside this hidden gem, you can explore a carefully curated collection of electronic records in a cosy atmosphere, open to all seeking to share their passion for music over a coffee or tea.
Round Sound have been selling records online since the summer of 2021, gathering a devoted following of diggers along the way. For the first time ever, we offer an exclusive opportunity to dig through this extensive collection in person! You can expect to find music from all corners of the electronic spectrum with adjusted low prices just for this event.
