Markutz Bio

Markutz aka OPR-BATT – UK-based DJ, producer, and Hi-Res audio enthusiast spinning techno with a heavy Detroit & raw influence while exploring the underground’s obscure depths. Starting in 1998 with house and hardcore, he honed his craft through hip-hop and turntablism—skills that still shape his rapid, creative techno style today. A key member of Devon’s underground collective NONOM and one-half of the record label and creative collective Brockout Music, his approach is simple: keep it unexpected and always about the music. He has supported and warmed up for the likes of Jerome Hill, DJ Godfather, DJ Funk, Marcel Dettmann, and of course, the unsung heroes of the underground!
