We return to our usual slot in September of 1st Saturday of the month after August's hiatus.

Back in July we hailed the STAY SICK debut of Bristol's Mimi & the Miseries and a huge thank you to all you sick-ohs for coming down and spreading the delinquent love

This time round we truly have a very special treat for all you sick-ohs out there! It's not very often you get such an opportunity to see fellow sick-ohs from the South American continent on these shores 'BUT' bringing their Surf/Kumbia fire, all the way from Bogotá, Colombia, and making their STAY SICK and Brighton debut, please give it up for...

LFSS for came to our attention when they crashed a Los Dedos surf gig we were promoting at The Albert last year and although we tried to book them there and then it didn't quite work out. However, the connection was made, we stayed in touch and vowed to make it happen this year, and here they are!!!

Los Fuckin Surfer Smokers are a power trio from Bogotá, Colombia, that fuses Surf, Rockabilly, Swing and Rock n´Roll while exploring with originary rhythms such as Cumbia, Psychedelic Chicha, Brass ensembles among others.
Well known by their live performances, high profile musicians from Colombia have participated over the bands different line-ups adding up rich and varied musical flavors, that gives Los Fuckin Surfer Smokers their own musical essence.Wowzers, what a treat!!! We can't wait to host our first band from Colombia!!! Who's ready for some SURF/KUMBIAAAAAA!?

Come join us for this our monthly trash dance party night held on the downstairs in the bar at The Hope & Ruin, where we continue our monthly STAY SICK residency, revving up for a night of delinquent kicks, DJ's, dancing and tripped out trashy mondo projections!

Expect an aural rock n roll trash journey that includes sleazy, greasy rock n roll from the 50s including Tarantino-esque surf, boppin rockabilly, swingin' rhythm and blues and twistin' shakers, moving on through to 60s primitive garage, snotty 70s punk n roll, 80s new wave and beyond to more modern garagepunk sounds, and anything else that fits in and floats our boat for all you weird-ohs to go-go, shake, bop, pogo, shimmy, watusi and jerk to!

This night "goes out to all you Gucci bag carriers out there", to all you delinquent weird-ohs so you can go-go, shake, bop, pogo, mash, shimmy, watusi and freak to! For Lux and The CrAmPs, our glorious leaders
