Established in late 2014, IST IST have forged a formidable reputation on word of mouth excitement at their uncompromisingly intense live shows, a fierce northern DIY work ethic and an ever-growing back catalogue of successful studio and live releases, all self-released through their own Kind Violence Records imprint.
New album 'Light A Bigger Fire' recently peaked at number 25 in the Official Album Charts, finally breaking the band into the Top 40 after predecessor 'Protagonists' reached number 41. The band's latest offering was produced by Joe Cross who's credits include fellow Mancunians Courteeners, Hurts and Slow Readers Club.
Their recent European and UK tours found them found them playing to over 8,000 people in nine countries. IST IST’s reach has already spread beyond the shores of the UK selling out prestigious venues in the Netherlands and Germany, bucking the trend of UK acts struggling in Europe post-Brexit.

With previous championing from BBC Radio 1 and 6Music, Radio X, XS Manchester, KINK FM in the Netherlands, The Times and more, brimming with confidence and their strongest body of work to date in their pocket, IST IST are set to light even bigger fires everywhere they go throughout 2025.
