Terms and conditions

• Tickets are valid for the booked time and date only.
• Tickets are non- transferable and non-refundable.
• You should arrive on time to your session to get your skates on.
• Skate sessions are approximately 45 minutes – your one hour time slot includes 15 minutes to get your skates on.
• If you arrive late for your session, you can still skate, but no extra time will be added to the end of the skate session.
• Skates are provided; you are welcome to use your own skates, but we can’t offer a discount if you do.
• Booking/time slot applies to named parties only; if additional people accompany you on the day, they will have to join the queue to purchase a ticket. Unfortunately, we can’t guarantee there will be space for additional skaters on the day.
• As space on the viewing platform is limited, it is reserved for parents and guardians supervising their children.
• Sometimes we have to close the rink because of bad weather. If this happens, we will do our very best to reschedule your visit to a date of your choice; sorry but no refunds will be given.
• If the ice rink closes due to local or national government-imposed restrictions relating to the COVID-19 pandemic, and your booking is affected, we will contact you to re-schedule the visit. If a suitable date cannot be agreed, the full cost of your visit will be refunded.
• In the event that the ice rink remains open, and you cancel your booking due to COVID-19 related reasons, the cost of your visit will not be refunded. in this instance we will endeavour to find a suitable alternative date for your visit.
• In line with government guidance, face coverings are not mandatory on the outdoor ice rink but we request you wear a face covering when inside the science centre (unless exempt).
• Any pre-booked refreshments or gift shop items must be collected on the same day as your booking.
• If you leave the rink and hand in your skates, you cannot return to the rink.
• The safety of our customers and team is a priority: if you have consumed alcohol, you will not be permitted to skate. Antisocial, abusive, destructive, or dangerous behaviour will not be tolerated.
• If we consider any behaviour unacceptable, Life reserves the right to refuse entry or to remove any individuals, or groups.

It is your responsibility to check, prior to purchase, that the information you have supplied to us is accurate. We are only responsible for issuing online tickets in accordance with the information you provide. Sorry, but once purchased, the date for which your ticket has been purchased cannot be changed. Payment for tickets is non-refundable. Tickets are only valid for the date and time stated upon them.

On arrival at Life, the following will be required:

• The order confirmation (provided at the time of purchase).
• Appropriate proof of entitlement to any student discounted ticket rate claimed for each person to be admitted under the ticket. You may be asked to pay the full admission price or refused entry in the instance of proof not being available.
• No online ticket may be resold without the prior written consent of Life. If any person attempts to enter Life with a ticket that has been resold without Life’s written consent, Life may refuse entry and no compensation is payable to that person by Life.
