Urban Stage School of Performing Arts presents the much loved Disney classic THE LITTLE MERMAID JR. This is a Disney Junior show, part of the MTI Broadway Junior Collection® of concise versions of full Broadway shows aimed at young performers.
Based on the original story by Hans Christian Anderson, this classic Disney title contains all of the songs from the Academy Award® winning animated feature film including ‘Under the Sea’, ‘Part of your World’, as well as three new songs from the Broadway show.
THE LITTLE MERMAID JR. takes place in a magical kingdom beneath the sea, where a beautiful young mermaid named Ariel longs to leave her ocean home to live in the world above. But first, she’ll have to defy her father, the king of the sea, escape the clutches of an evil sea witch and convince a prince that she’s the girl with the perfect voice.
Alongside the main show some of our younger students will present a short piece highlighting the plight of our oceans. Urban Stage is dedicated to educating our young people and audiences on environmental issues and for this production we will be supporting charities that specifically deal with climate concerns surrounding our oceans.
