HMV’s one and only unsigned artist, India Arkin is most definitely one to watch in 2023. Having launched her debut album “Home Truths” on October of 2022, has found the rising-star as a National Album Day ambassador alongside the likes of Sam Ryder, Franz Ferdinand, KSI, and The Staves and earnt her a place as on BBC Introducing Tips for 2023.  India Arkin is an indie singer-song-writer based in Newcastle.

Having always had artistic drive at the forefront, India originally moved to the city to study Fine Art, and began recording music for her solo project through the lockdowns in 2020. Launching her debut single “Dashboard Dancing” in August of 2021; she quickly caught her attention of the BBC, finding a heavy rotation on BBC Introducing North East and BBC Introducing Tees. Her debut EP “No Innocent Bystander” later featuring on Tom Robinsons Radio 6 Mixtape, and earning her a residency at The Sage Gateshead.

Conor Michael is an up and coming musician in the North East of England. He is a singer/songwriter, who is inspired by the likes of Ed Sheeran, Damien Rice , Scott Keirs and many more incredible musicians. Conor started his music career by picking up a guitar in 2017, and has since gone on to record and release a number of EP’s , singles and recently his first album. 
 Conor's first official single was Robots in 2019, giving a view into the life of someone dealing with personal issues and how they spend their time trying not to bother people with their troubles. The debut EP 'Four Years Later' was released in the Summer of 2019 followed by Conor's Second single 'I Need You' in the Autumn. 
 Conor went on to win his first award on a local radio show and was the Nova Radio's Unsigned Artist of the year 2019. 
 When the lockdowns of 2020 hit, Conor used this as an opportunity to be creative and went on to write his first album ‘I don’t hold grudges, I write songs’ . This album was just one of many ongoing projects going into 2021. 
 Conor has now gone onto host a local music podcast ‘Off The Stage’ which showcases the talents of local unsigned musicians, alongside the countless weekly gigs he performs. Most recently Conor has released his new single ‘Home’ in August 2022 which placed 3rd in the official UK Physical charts!
