YOUNG FRANCIS HI FI β
β
β
In the beginning there was Young Francis - the one man punk banned! - who we've been fortunate enough to have grace many a Stay Sick stage with his, lo-fidelity, energetically infectious trashy bangers and a multitude of percussive instruments that would be dished out to willing audience members to help get the party started. But, as Young Francis's reputation grew the time and need came for his solo punk bangers to be given the chance to grow as well. But how you ask?
Well, in Young Francis's case he scoured the trashcan alleyways and back streets of Brighton until he found and recruited some Rotten Foxes with a shared love of denim to bring bubblegum joy to the masses! And so it was - in a moment completely unrelated to Christmas and probably not involving a manger, lo and behold, from its lo-fi punk beginnings YOUNG FRANCIS HI FI was born!! And here they are - getting ready for their soon to be released debut LP on Dirty Water Records in early 2023! Praise be, the angels cried! It's a miracle, they cried! ...probablyAll we know is we're 'avin some of that!
Plus!Making her Stay Sick debut we're excited to introduce our very special guest wax spinner...β

Expect an aural rock n roll trash journey that includes sleazy, greasy rock n roll from the 50s including Tarantino-esque surf, boppin rockabilly, swingin' rhythm and blues and twistin' shakers, moving on through to 60s primitive garage, snotty 70s punk n roll, 80s new wave and beyond to more modern garagepunk sounds, and anything else that fits in and floats our boat!
This night "goes out to all you Gucci bag carriers out there", to all you delinquent weird-ohs so you can go-go, shake, bop, pogo, mash, shimmy, watusi and freak to! For Lux and The CrAmPs, our glorious leaders
As Wanda Jackson once said, "Let's have a party!"
