Formed in 1984 and based in north Derbyshire, Cold Flame are
known for their original blues rock music interspersed with elements of
progressive folk rock which has won them many fans across the UK and beyond.
Well respected across the UK not only for their live performances but also for
a number of acclaimed studio and live albums, the band are currently signed to
Starring Records based in west Yorkshire. Whilst there has been occasional
line-up changes over the years, the current band line up has remained constant
since 2015.
The Cold Flame showcase concert at The Kings Arms in Salford on Friday
October 20th will see the five
piece band present and perform many of the classic acoustic Jethro Tull
songs from across the decades
with a particular emphasis on the albums released between 1968 and 1979.
With
Tull’s fourth studio album ‘Aqualung’ celebrating it’s fiftieth
anniversary
recently, the band will include several songs from this momentous album
in their two hour performance which will be split into two separate sets
with a short interval. The band will operate a merchandise stall during
the evening for those people in the audience who are interested in the
group's studio albums.
