Formed in 1984 and based in north Derbyshire, Cold Flame are known for their original blues rock music interspersed with elements of progressive folk rock which has won them many fans across the UK and beyond. Well respected within the music business not only for their live performances but also for a number of acclaimed studio albums, the band are currently signed to Starring Records based in west Yorkshire. Since 1998, the band have also presented audiences across the country and in Europe with a specialist show focusing on the music of progressive rock legends Jethro Tull. The band are now acknowledged as the premier Jethro Tull tribute band in the UK.
The Cold Flame showcase concert at The Kings Arms in Salford on Friday November 29th 2024 marks a welcome return to the venue's theatre room following their successful sell out concert at the same venue earlier this year. Once again the five piece band will perform the music of JETHRO TULL in a special electro/acoustic show featuring classic Tull material from across the decades with a particular emphasis on the albums released between 1968 and 1980. Doors open at 7.00pm and the upstairs theatre bar will be open for refreshments throughout the evening. The evening show will be split into two separate one hour sets with a short interval in between and will begin promptly at 7.45pm. Attendees will be pleased to know that the band will be operating a merch stall at this event.
