The Signatures & Steve Ellis

Lead singer of The Love Affair, Steve Ellis, comes to The Welly alongside the house band for the Craig Charles funk and soul show on BBC 6 Music, The Signatures.

The Signatures promise an unforgettable live experience that will transport you straight to the heart of the Northern Soul scene. With a song selection based on the incredible artists that we have had the pleasure of performing with. This includes legendary acts such as The Flirtations, Bobby Wilson, Sidney Barnes and Tommy Hunt. Plus special guest vocalist “Stefan Taylor” – one of the hottest young artists within the Northern Soul scene.

Steve first found fame at the tender age of 17 as the lead singer with one of the most successful British pop acts of the 60s, The Love Affair. Recording such classics as Everlasting Love, Rainbow Valley, Bringing on back the Good times, One Road, A Day without Love ….etc which made them one of the biggest bands of 1968 with only The Beatles out selling them that year.
