Did you know it's two years this week since Sunbird Records reopened it's doors? To Celebrate we have a week of events featuring some of the very best local, regional and national talent!! Thursday 3rd April we welcome blues guitar legend Laurence Jones to Sunbird records, in association with Music Venue Trust and AGMP Music Radar voted the young Laurence Jones one of the world's top 10 blues-rock guitarists. He's shared stages with legends like Sir Van Morrison, Sir Ringo Starr, Buddy Guy, Jeff Beck, Status Quo and many more. Friday 4th April it's an EP launch show for Darwen's very own I Create Deathrays Saturday 5th April - Stil Life. Back in the bird with a warm up show - support comes from Denim Breakfast and Coherent plus an after party from B-Hind Sunday 6th April - Apollo Junction - New single 'Settle Down' is out this Friday featuring the wonderful voice of The Beautiful South Briana Corrigan now 💙 Support comes from The Cavs and Dilemmas. Independent Venue Week 2025 is here and we at Sunbird Records. Independent Venue Week is all about supporting and celebrating independent venues of all sizes, as well as their local music ecosystem including artists, promoters and fans. Venues across the regions and nations of the UK are coming together next week to do just that for #IVW25. We are starting Thursday with an Open Mic Singer Songwriter special with an exclusive performance from Darren Poyzer. Friday we welcome The Lounge Society one of the most exciting bands in the UK who are back after a break following the release of their debut album 'Tired of Liberty - local support comes from Redearth and Denim Breakfast Saturday we host OneDa, a rapper and vocalist spitting clever, sharp lyricism, mixed with melodic vocals and punch lines. Selected as One to Watch by BBC Radio 1 and 1xtra and with her seemless manipulation of both old school and new school vibes. Three incredible nights of live music not to be missed!!!
