Well March passed by quickly and it's straight into some great shows in Hull for the first week of April. Thursday 3rd April see's two shows in our home city of Hull. Extra-terrestrial joy mongers HENGE bring their 'Cosmic Dross' mix of rave and prog rock to Hull's Social with support from Mr Vast. Plus we have an absolutely killer lineup heading to Hull's Polar Bear Music Club with rising rockers HotWax set to rip it up, alongside jank punk gal pal duo The Pill, and Hull noise-makers WENCH Viva la riot grrrl. Cosmic voyager Jane Weaver is live at Social in Hull on Sunday, 6th April, with support from experimental pop band MEMORIALS. "Over the past decade or so, she has released a string of fantastic, acclaimed albums, each one a left-turn from the last. They’ve taken in acid folk, space rock, eerie, drifting electronic experimentation, hypnotic, vaguely krautrock-y instrumentals and full-on pop" - The Guardian Check out all our forthcoming shows and some new announcements...

W.H. LUNG heads to Hull..
UNDER THE INFLUENCE PRESENTS: W. H. LUNG + support from FORMAL SPPEEDWEAR 📅 Sunday 23rd February 2025 ⏰ 19:00 doors ℹ️ 14+ 📍 Social, Hull 🎟 £17 adv + bf Mancunian synth pop outfit W.H.Lung decided to try something new on their third album Every Inch of Earth Pulsates, in order to capture the energy, spirit and dynamism of their live shows. Something that has become paramount to the group in recent years as they have undeniably blossomed into one of the most joyous and arresting live bands in the country. The new album, which follows Incidental Music (2019) and Vanities (2021), is rooted in a sense of capturing a moment and a sparky liveness, that’s not to say it’s a raw or ragged record. It is still a meticulously composed, delicately layered and pristinely produced piece of work that, in true W.H. Lung style, runs the gauntlet from dance to pop to indie while still capturing that distinctly unique quality that is unquestionably their own.
